Carpentry usually involves on site construction and creating and installing wooden structures such as floors and roofs and the installation of things like doors or cladding.
1st fix carpentry is any carpentry work that is traditionally not seen, such as timber roof structures, floor joist, stud partitioning etc. Another way to describe this, would be any work that is carried out before plastering would be classed as 1st Fix. 2nd fix carpentry on the other hand is any work carried out after plastering and is typlcially on display. Doors, architraves, skirtings are all classed as 2nd fix carpentry.

Yes – Wilson & Cole have a close network of subcontractors they have worked with over the years, who are vetted, fully insured and have all the necceasry certifications to carry out and sign off any work carried out.
Yes – Wilson & Cole Carpentry & Interiors are set up as trading under Wilson & Cole Developments. Wilson & Cole have Public liability insurance for up to £5m, Employeres liability and All Risk Insurance, meaning we are covered for commercial and residential work.
Yes – We can offer our service as a subcontractor and take on a carpentry specific packages, or we can carry out your project as The Main Contractor and carry out the whole project. For more information on this please check out our packages pages or contact us.
